After losing momma Tabuha, I had to make a call to Laura Phoenix. I mumbled out gibberish, breaking out in emotion from the long night of an Emergency C Section on our back lawn.

Laura answered and said we have a bad connection, call back, click. I pulled it together and called back and said, I lost my mare, i need a nursemare. She took all the info and said she couldn't be there for about 8 hours. The local farm manager of a breeding farm came back to check on us. Tabuha was restless napping, He said comfort her. He laid down and snuggled up to her back and held her. it was the sweetest thing I had ever seen with a foal. That is how StellaLuchella came into our lives.

When Laura arrived, she took charge, and we put Stellas sweat all over foal Tabuha. She took right to the foal.  Laura said let's go to the local breeding farm for Stella has not produced milk yet.

Laura was on a mission. She told the farm manager that we needed more of their frozen milk, and she loaded my arms up and away we went. Stella saved and taught Tabuha to be an incredible horse. Laura later told me that she was inspired by the Tabuha and StellaLuchella story.

When Laura met Taralynn they discussed an old book called, "Blessed are the Broodmares", and then the saying went, "Heaven sent the nurse mares". They spoke on it with laughs and tears. Laura incorporated the name to her nurse mare program to Heaven Sent Nursemares. We told you Tabuha was special.
